Heywood Health is a training practice for post graduate doctors who have worked in hospitals and are gaining experience of general practice. We currently host three ST2 doctors.

ST2

An ST2 GP registrar is a qualified doctor and has now decided to pursue a career in general practice. This is their second year of GP training and will have their own surgeries, but they will still be supervised by their GP trainer. They will remain at the practice for four months.

ST3

An ST3 GP registrar is a qualified doctor and has now decided to pursue a career in general practice. This is their third year of GP training and will have their own surgeries, but they will still be supervised by their GP trainer. They will remain with the surgery for one year.

After an incredible 33 years of dedicated service to our patients and community, Dr Duffy is retiring from Heywood Health as of 31st July 2025.We know many of you will join us in thanking Dr Duffy for his unwavering commitment, compassion, and care over the years. He has made a lasting difference in the lives of so many patients and colleagues and will be truly missed.

From all of us at Heywood Health, we wish him a happy, healthy and very well earned retirement.

Practice Management

PAM ILNYCKYJ

Non-clinical Partner and Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager Pam Ilnyckyj will be able to cover any non medical aspects of your care. She is always available to discuss any suggestions which may help to improve our service to you.

Nurses

Lorrette, Julie & Sadaf are our Practice Nurses and are available each day by appointment. Louise is our Nursing Associate. They help the Doctors manage long term diseases and illnesses. With the help of the Nurse Co-ordinator they also deal with regular health checks, including immunisations, cervical smears, holiday vaccinations, blood tests and appropriate wound dressing.

Lisa K, Jack, Sam, Neil (Prescriptions) Lisa B & Emily make up the admin team and are responsible for ensuring all information for patient health care is co-ordinated and correctly entered on to our system. Lee is our in house Pharmacist.

Reception

Our receptionists are here to help you. They may need to ask you further details when you telephone. This is to ensure that we can assist you as effectively as possible. All information is treated in the strictest of confidence. The team consists of Natalie (Reception Manager), Carmel (Deputy Reception Manager) Jill, Julie, Chloe, Bethany, Leanne, Lesley and Lisa H.

Health Visitors

A team of health visitors are based at Phoenix Centre, 1 Pine Street, Heywood. They concentrate on the health and well being of families with children under five. Telephone Number 01706 261944.
